TBID 24” Transmission Pipeline
Newman Construction completed a $4.47M large-diameter water pipeline project in Taylorsville, UT, installing 6,655 LF of 24” transmission main while managing complex trenching and traffic control along UDOT corridors and I-215. The project demonstrates our expertise in deep-trench and trenchless utility construction in active urban environments.

This large-diameter drinking water project in Taylorsville, Utah, included the installation of 6,655 LF of 24” C-900 PVC transmission main. Over 2,600 LF of trenching occurred within UDOT right-of-way along 5400 South, requiring complex traffic control, internally braced shoring under I-215, and mill-and-overlay asphalt restoration.
The project also included 218 LF of trench under the interstate overpass and 295 LF backfilled with flowable fill, demonstrating high standards of safety and compliance. Newman Construction self-performed 100% of the $4.47 million project and completed all work on schedule, managing both trenchless and open-cut operations.
The TBID Pipeline Project showcased Newman Construction’s utility expertise within active urban corridors. Their ability to manage deep trenching in traffic-sensitive zones highlighted the company’s planning and execution capabilities.
